Experience
Youth in Europe has more on-the-ground WYD experience than any pilgrimage
company in the world. We are veterans of Denver 1993, Manila 1995,
Paris 1997, Rome 2000, Toronto 2002 and Cologne 2005. |

Faithfulness
Our entire mission is to impart the Catholic Faith into the hearts and
minds of the pilgrims God has given us. Our staff, guides, liaisons
and evangelization team all love the Faith and will do their part to
inspire. We do not offer pilgrimages for other faiths because we are
not of another faith. |

We are working with Harvest Youth Tours of Sydney to provide you with
unparalleled experience and knowledge of Australia. Harvest is the
Archdiocese of Sydney's official pilgrimage operator (their offices are
down the hall from the WYD committee. Harvest knows pilgrimage and

Flexibility
Youth in Europe together with Harvest Youth Tours will be offering 35
different options for Pre and Post WYD pilgrimages. Your group can
choose any option, choose the level of accommodation, add or subtract any
part of the pilgrimage and customize the entire experience. We can
offer suggestions if you are unsure of how different options would affect
the trip. |

Value
Our pilgrimages offer the best value for your fund-raised dollars.
Most companies charge more (and porter your bags). We prefer to have
you porter your own bags (or should we say bag). |

Sydney
Our staff has been to Sydney and met with Cardinal Pell, Danny Casey,
John Moore and Geoff Morris, the (in order) director, CEO, CFO and
marketing manager of WYD 2008. At our meeting we gathered important
details and made recommendations gleaned from our experience. |

Hotels
We have met with a number of hotel managers in Sydney and secured
rooms for our groups in a range of accommodations from hostels to 4 star
hotels. We also have a working relationship with the classiest
hotels in Sydney if your group should need a five star accommodation. |

Simple
Accommodations Youth in Europe is in talks with World Youth
Day and a local Sydney parish to secure the Church and attached school to
house our groups who choose the simple accommodations option. We
will also provide foam mats for each person at the school (and recycle
them after WYD). This location is a stone's throw from the train and
10 minutes from both the downtown area and the Randwick Racecourse. |

Our staff is working with United Airlines, Qantas, Air New Zealand, Pacific Air,
Air Tahiti and Hawaiian Airlines to secure
the proper seats for our groups. It will be a tight squeeze
regardless. |

New
Venue When meeting with the WYD committee, Youth in Europe
proposed a new venue that will bring the youth in closer contact with the
bishops, archbishops and cardinals. After we work out the details
with the director of evangelization for WYD Sydney, we will post them on
this site. |

Social
Justice Youth in Europe will be sponsoring (in conjunction
with WYD) some of our less fortunate brothers and sisters from the region
of Oceania, giving them the opportunity to attend the festivities in
Sydney. Updates will be posted on this website and participation
from others will be welcome. |

~My
overall impression concerning the trip to Europe was that it was
absolutely incredible. I can surely say I had the best time of my
life.. Youth from Illinois
~I want to take this
opportunity to thank you so much for such a wonderful trip to World Youth
Day 2005. The accommodations, the travel and everything was
even better than I could imagine. I certainly am interested in
having our group go to Sydney and am glad you are already getting started
with preparations for travel there. Priest from California
~I don't think there are
words to express how much I enjoyed that pilgrimage... even though there
were some points in the trip where I was uncomfortable, and
sick, I felt as if those times were beneficial to me. After all,
shouldn't everyone try to offer up some self-sacrifice? Young
Adult from New Mexico
~Thank you for a wonderful
experience. Your team provided us with incredible hospitality and
professionalism. They were all very competent and were always
concerned to provide us with whatever we needed provided it was possible
and reasonable. Chaperon from California
~My over all impression was
that Youth in Europe is a very well run organization that
is doing a wonderful thing for everyone. I really enjoyed going and i
would love to travel with Y.I.E again. Youth from Montana
~Awesome. At first I
was forgetting the phrase: "Pilgrimage not vacation," but
when I got that into my head I began to have a great respect for
your work. Giving us the opportunity to offer penances and
mortifications was beneficial to all the souls in the world.
Young Adult from California
~I had an awesome time!
It was a completely different experience than Toronto... It really was the
trip of a lifetime! Youth from Florida |
